American Apparel is a vertically integrated retailer locate in Los Angeles, CA with over 150 stores internationally. At JPDA I provided soup-to-nuts design and project management service for both new and renovated retail spaces; with services consisting of site selection, lease negotiation, design, client-contractor negotiation and contracts, project & construction management, turnover and merchandising, and continual brand & design refresh.

Each store is bespoke, with special care taken to local context and existing fabric. Each project is a challenge to satisfy the fast-paced schedule, limited budgets and a demanding client. These factors necessitate nimble thinking, unorthodox use of materials and proper project management.
