project: simOTR · 2001 · electornic / web work
simOTR is the result of two months research into urban issues surrounding Over-the-Rhine in Cincinnati, Ohio. Much like the popular game Sim City, simOTR uses a nonlinear asynchronous engine to control game play, weighting opportunities and reactions of players. This proof-of-concept illustrates what the decisions of developers, city councils and citizens have on the overall urban core. This is my first web application to be developed and released, with a new version is being developed around a more robust [and complete] set of problems, reactions and types that were limited due to the deadlines of an academic schedule.
