Through the use of abstracted biological and natural systems, the adaptive reuse of Wilson Auditorium was treated as an appendage that was subsequently connected to the existing DAAP complex. Investigation into humanoid limb replantation and tissue connection/reconnection was used as a system and metaphor for the project. Specific biological systems defined the scope and processes of different building systems. The formation of neurons - during initial formation and regrowth [data], the formation and regrowth of muscular and tissue systems, the growth and regrowth of skeletal systems [structure], and the growth and regrowth of arterial systems [circulation], were the systematic basis for each building system.
